Sharmark-Las Vegas started in 1983 as a husband and wife team trying to join two careers into one to spend more time together. Sharman, a flight attendant and Mark a journeyman carpenter.
Being fortunate enough to travel worldwide and seeing so many ideas, Sharman and Mark put together a variety of products that gradually melted into women’s boutique fashions and accessories, doing wholesale trade shows across the U.S., in particular in NYC. The name was a spur of the moment thought when Mark was asked what the company’s name was. He replied SharMark (but please don’t call Sharman - Shar).
In 1985 the two became three, then four in 1988. Sharman retired from flying and Mark spent more time in NYC, now 6 times a year. For 20 years the label was recognized in major boutiques, as well as catalogs and high end chain stores throughout the U.S. But as they say, “All good things must come to an end”.
Today Mark is a successful woodworking/finish contractor in Las Vegas working on high end custom homes, including some of the ‘who’s who’ in the city.
Sharman’s talents have evolved into putting a smile on each customer’s face with adorable children’s clothing and toys, womens and mens fun/comical sleepwear and underwear and gifts galore for all the family and friends.
You can find her at the Southpoint Equestrian Arena in Las Vegas and for over 23 years at Wrangler’s NFR Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
